Balance: Chemical Engineer's Perspective
The long break week is over, did nothing but procrastination and meddling on some thinkable uhhmm concerns? then I've realized there are those changes you'd have to happily welcome, but some changes(uhm unlikely ones) just egg you on opting to a more probable change. Every step adds another unknown variables. Life's a groggy journey, it gives you hell loads of sh***.
It's an "open flow unsteady state process", balance is hardly closed but theoretically what comes in must come out (in various undefined forms)---infinitesimal change may be negligible but the integral is still a loss in the overall balance. So might as well define a setpoint, start small, limit your system from external 'forces', control what you consume, generate more, and react accordingly. What you've accumulated in the end is the irreversible truth, a justification of all the means you did all along. take care!
"Every one can do material balance--- it takes time and wise steps for most, but it takes a Chemical engineer to manipulate the reactions. . ."
